Josh Collette was born and raised in Minnesota where he grew up on a hobby farm learning the importance of a strong work ethic and treating people right. Josh completed his education at North Dakota State University in 2003 where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy. Josh has since spent his entire career in government finance. In 2006, Josh’s career brought him to Washington, and in 2009, Josh moved to Elma when he married a hometown girl. Together they raise their family and they remain active in their church and our community.

 

Josh is currently serving on the Elma City Council. He was elected in 2019 to a four-year term. He also served on the volunteer fire department for more than ten years. He serves youth through his involvement with community groups and coaching his children's youth activities. Josh will use his experience and leadership to help keep Elma a great place to live, work, play, and raise a family. He prioritizes the safety of the community. This means maintaining a high level of police service and improving the safety of our streets and sidewalks. Josh believes we need to embrace growth while preserving our "small town" charm. He will continue to advocate for the rejuvenation of our parks, infrastructure, and downtown business area.
